Now that the engine is assembled (mostly), it's time to drop it back into the frame. Obviously the intake manifold is not yet installed and there is a reason for that: I want to pressure test the cooling system before I install that (and there are two hoses which run directly beneath it).
The worst part of this step was adjusting the clutch linkage. I had to raise the rear end and put it on jack stands. The creeper is your friend for this task too. With all of the excitement of getting the engine installed again, I forgot to put the starter, crossover pipe, and diagnostic plug pickup on before! Oops. It's not a big problem though; everything is easily accessible and installing it was still easier than yanking the engine out again.
